Once horror fan screenwriter Kevin Williamson teamed up with slasher maestro Wes Craven, they created what would become one of the great horror film series in 1996’s Scream. Then-relatively new film composer Marco Beltrami rounded out the filmmaking trio with his avant-garde orchestral techniques creating a suspense–horror style perfect for the franchise.
